The Cirque du Soleil will add the crowning touches to the Opening Ceremony in spectacular show featuring a galaxy of local and international stars! Thousands of spectators will revel in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see Diane Dufresne, k.d. lang, Deborah Cox, Jonas, Martha Wash and Sylvie Desgroseilliers together for one spectacular show with the Cirque du Soleil and hundreds of musicians, chorists and dancers! They will feel the emotion when 12,000 athletes from 109 countries enter the Stadium in a massive procession sure to leave them breathless!
All week long, Square Viger will be the meeting place of the Outgames. Originally a natural artistic masterpiece, Square Viger will be transformed to include a stage featuring daily entertainment from 11 AM to 10 PM, a Labatt Blue Dry Beer Garden and Holland Garden, as well as a dozen concession booths and kiosks of all sorts. In Montréal this summer, it’s the place to be!
We’ve thought of a few things to help participants and visitors alike enjoy their time at the Outgames, including:

We are all eager to PLAY FOR REAL!
As the results come in, we will post them on our web site, which will be updated daily. Visit our web site, go to the page of the activity in question and click on ‘results’.
Plus, our communications team will be churning out a daily newspaper, the Outgames Xpress, chock full of interesting and important information about what happened, what is going on, and what you shouldn’t miss. Get your copy on the different Outgames sites.
With 110 staff members and 51 Organising Comittees composed of an average of 8 members each (408 people) this amounts to 518 people supported by some 4,500 volunteers hard at work to ensure a quality event sure to leave a legacy of pride!

Smile! You’re at the Outgames!
Photo Action will be offering on-site photography services for participants, conference delegates, volunteers, visitors and the media. Have a souvenir photo taken at the Outgames to capture the moment and take home great memories.
Volunteers
In recognition of the special contribution volunteers make to the Outgames, Photo Action is offering a 40% discount off the regular price of a portrait, upon presentation of the volunteer accreditation card at any Photo Action kiosk.
Conference Delegates
Want to have a precious memento of the conference to always remind you of this incredible experience? Have your picture taken for free by a professional photographer at one of the Photo Action kiosks (alone or with someone else) and if you like your photo, buy a copy right there or online at www.photoaction.ca.
Athletes and Officials
Photo Action photographers will be taking great pictures of every sport so that participants can have prime quality souvenirs of the 1st World Outgames. Just drop by any of our kiosks or online at www.photoaction.ca to select and purchase your photo.
Media
Photo Action will cover all the events taking place at the 1st World Outgames with a team of more than 25 photographers catching every minute of the action. Media representatives and journalists are invited to contact Photo Action to obtain images for your publications. The photo bank is online at www.photoaction.ca.
Photo Action kiosks will be set up at Square Viger, Centre Sportif Claude Robillard, Parc olympique and the Palais des congrès during the International Conference on LGBT Human Rights.
