Aerobics competitions will welcome a maximum of
150 people. Governed by Gymnastics Canada, competitions
will take place over three days. Competitors of
all levels are welcome. Individual competitions
will be separate for men and women.

This competition will be sanctioned by Gymnastics
Canada.
Current rules of the Fédération
Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) will
be used for this event. The complete rules can

There are no affiliation or membership
requirements for this sport.
You can register in individual (Novice or Elite),
Pairs or Trios events.

Please note that the Novice event
is only for participants who are new to Sport
Aerobics or have never reached the finals of a
national competition.
For each participant, there
will be a qualification round where the top 12
athletes in each category will advance to the
finals.
Choreography must last 1 minute
45 seconds (+/- 5 secs). In each routine, there
are required elements to be performed.
A. Artistic
- To meet the artistic requirements,
a routine must demonstrate creativity and the
choreography must demonstrate specific sport
content, with a variety of movements and a clear
correlation between music and movement.
- Some examples of choreography
are: Aerobic dance, Salsa and Funk/Hip Hop.
- A perfect score for artistic
merit is 10.
B. Execution
- All movements must be executed
flawlessly.
- A perfect score for execution
is 10.
C. Difficulty
- A maximun of 12 elements
must be performed by each competitor.
- Difficulty score is the result
of the evaluation of the 12 elements performed.
- All elements performed must
be different named elements. At least one element
from each group of the element pool (A, B, C,
D) must be performed.
- Maximum of six floor elements
(includes landings on the floor in splits).
- Maximum of two elements landing
in push-up position.
- The difficulty score is open.
There also are required movements
to perform to obtain the maximum score. Participants
must perform at least one movement from each of
the following groups in each routine. This is
not an exhaustive list; the entire element pool
can be found in the FIG
Code of Points.

During the accreditation, participants from Canada will be required to show government-issued identification with a photo. For athletes from all other countries, a passport will be the preferred form of identification. Furthermore, every participant will be required to provide his or her participant number.
