2006 Launches Online Store of Outgames Merchandise

2005 – “Montréal 2006
and Integrus Brand Solutions Inc. (formerly The
Willwerth Group Inc.) have finalised an agreement
for the production and on-line marketing of a
line of 1st World Outgames
merchandise,” Mr. Tom Czerniecki, Marketing-Communication
Director for Montréal 2006, announced today.

The Products
Outgames merchandise will be available through
the Montréal 2006 website, on a secure
site operated by Integrus. More than 40 articles
will be available in the online catalogue for
Montréal 2006’s partners. Integrus
will also handle deliveries of orders to addresses
around the world. The online store has launched
initially with a selection of 17 articles and
the catalogue will grow over the coming months
to include caps, golf shirts, watches, pens, sports
gear and clothing. The product line will also
change seasonally, adding an even greater choice
of Outgames clothing and souvenirs.
A special section will be available
for LGBT sports teams with specially-priced products
for them to resell to help raise the funds needed
to participate in the 1st
World Outgames in 2006.
In Montréal itself, Priape,
Montréal's oldest, if not most famous,
gay business, will be working in partnership with
Integrus as well, both as a manufacturer and a
distributor. Priape will be creating a highly
visible merchandising window display for Montréal
2006 in the city’s Gay Village.
During the Outgames in 2006, merchandise
will be sold at kiosks located at various competition
and activity sites, as well as in hotels and other
public locations, such as at Montréal’s
Trudeau International Airport.

| The
1st World Outgames Montréal 2006 Organising
Committee is a not-for-profit organisation.
The games will be held from 26 July to
5 August 2006 with more than 16,000 participants
in the sport, cultural and conference
programmes. Thirty-five sports disciplines
will be represented during seven days
of competitions. Participants from around
the world and from over 100 different
countries are expected. Opening and Closing
ceremonies will cap off the sports competitions,
open to all. An international gay sport
and cultural "Rendez-Vous" not to be missed! |
