The competitions will be sanctioned by the Fédération
Québécoise des Sports Cyclistes (FQSC),
member of the Canadian Cycling Association, which
is a member of the International
Cycling Union (ICU).
The above-mentioned
organisations enforce anti-doping rules for training
and competition. A representative of the ICU or
the Canadian
Centre for Ethics in Sports (CCES) may ask
a cyclist, before, during or after competition
to submit a urine or blood sample for analysis
in a laboratory certified by the World
Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
International
Cycling Union (UCI) rules will be used.
Licensed cyclists must present their ICU licenses
at accreditation. Unlicensed cyclists must acquire,
on-site during accreditation, a temporary license
for a fee of $20 CAD. This fee may vary according
to FQSC policies.
Cyclists may register in one of the following
two divisions: licensed or unlicensed.
Men and women will compete in separate
categories. Participants may register for the
following events: Individual Time Trial, Road
Race, Criterium, Cross Country and Team Time Trial.
Individual events
Results for each event will be classified by age
group. The first 3 cyclists in each category will
be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals.
Team Time Trial
A general classification by team will be made
in the competitive mode only. A team will be composed
of three (3) or four (4) cyclists. The members
of a team may belong to different age groups.
Three (3) groupings will be offered: Women, Men
and Mixed (at least one person from each sex).
There will be different starts for each grouping.
A cyclist will be able to participate in the race
of his or her sex, as well as in the mixed race.
The teams that finish in the
first three positions in each of the groupings
will receive gold, silver and bronze medals. The
time that the last member of a team crosses the
finish line will determine that team’s position.
Age groups will be (for both
Licensed and Unlicensed Divisions):
